P5Q Deluxe MotherboardI tried to stay away from the Asus board after reading the nightmares that most reviewers had noting compatibility and bios nightmares. As an average to advanced user, I figured it was time to tackle a new HTPC and this board came up repeatedly. I had read that the Intel chipset was far superior than the Nvidia (650, 680, 780 or 790) in that regard and also narrowed my decision. I chose the P45 over the P35 for newer driver reasons, but also because the P5Q supported DDR2 1200. My first impressions: I was pleasantly surprised by the new Asus when I opened the attractive packaging. It?s sad that you never see these boxes in a retail store because Asus spends some decent money on marketing material. Secondly the board was pleasing to the eye with gold and blue highlights ? although never to be seen in the HTPC case. Asus makes what is called a Q-connector for attaching your chassis wires with ease. This should be sold to everyone who wants one! I cant say enough good about this little gem. SATA cables had right angle connectors and fit snugly. Makes wire management tidy.Second impressions:Board layout great, installed well, booted with no error after manually adjusting all BIOS settings.

Strengths:	1. The ports are all conveniently located that makes setup a breeze.2. Comes with a set of nice software that monitors fan speed, CPU usage etc.3. Also comes with an easy overclock software.
Weaknesses:	Does not support SLI. However, supports ATI crossfire.

Overall a nice motherboard. You may have to shop around between a few web retailers to get the best price. The copper heatspreaders look cool on the board (Asus calls that fanless cooling).
